Just Another Day in Paradise....

The sunrise on Sunday morning was spectacular. I never get tired of getting up early and taking yet another bunch of pictures of the sun coming up. Every day is truely different. No two are alike. This was was quite amazing with the cloud formation. See what you "sleepers" are missing!

It was an early morning out for just Paul and I on Reel It In Panaroy and we didn't have the lines in the water for even 30 minutes before we hooked up. It was quite comical with just the two of us on the boat with Paul reeling it in and me driving and being the deckhand at the same time. We got it in of course and the few minutes of controlled chaos thanks to Paul was successful. I just followed his instructions and we done good.

I think that may have been the first fish that Paul has had the opportunity to reel in himself. He was pretty jazzed. I was very happy for him (and me too knowing that I'll be having a delicious fish dinner tonight!).

Me and BBR watching the lines.
Later in the afternoon, our nephew Robert was out and joined in on the fun. Although this one got away because it got tangled in the WWB, it was fun to watch Bobby and Paul hard at work to try to bring her in.

Another great day on the Bay!

Sometimes, it's not just about the fish.....

What could be better than spending the day away from work with your buddies fishing on a boat??? NOTHING!!! Paul had a new crew on Friday ready to escape their daily lives and enjoy a beautiful day on the Chesapeake.

Kenny... Is that you sleeping in my bed? Shoulda went to bed earlier!

Adam - zzzzzzz.

Alex blends right in behind the wheel. I think he was made for boating!

A bad day fishing is ALWAYS better than a good day at work.

Fruits of our "Labor"

After all that fishing, finally being able to enjoy some of that yummie fish. Word on the street was the MT boys gave it the thumbs up!
On Monday, it was raining and wet. Reservations were made at Kentmorr Restaurant for a well deserved crab feast! Paul and I love to go to this place either by land or by water (they have pretty slips to park your boat in right next to the restaurant).

This crew was ready for their crab eatin' lesson and dove right in. You can't do this in MT now can you? Does it get any better?

What a crew! Reel It In Panaroy hopes that they return for another visit for fishing fun and sun.

Eric's Day in the "Sun"

We were all pretty bummed that EJ was under the weather most of the day on Saturday. With the sickness behind him, he came back with avengence on Sunday to reel in some beautiful fish. Here he is in full action.

Ummmm Doug, that's two bridges for you.

Opening Day - Rockfish Beware!

It was a beautiful opening day on the Chesapeake. With the Montana crew aboard Reel it in Panaroy, we headed out about 6am just as the sun was peaking up over the horizon. It was, as always, a glorious sight.
Marko reeled in the first one of the day. She was a biggen - 28 1/2"!! It was crazy for a few minutes getting her in but once he did, oh how proud he was.

Next up was Doug. 38 1/2" - need I say more? We thought with that one we would be in the running for the tournament.

Dan was next up. Now... his wasn't the biggest one of the day but catching these fish are really just a bonus next to spending the day on a boat with some good 'ole friends. It was a day to remember.

Oh and by the way.... BBR and I were there too!
More pics to come.....

The Men from Montana

Men arrived from Montana on Thursday to assist in the fishing fun. More pictures to come but below is one I took at the Boat Yard Bar & Grill after party - We were one man down for the day, EJ was feeling under the weather.

(L-R) Doug, Mark, Dan
Captain Paul
This morning as the sun was coming up I caught a pic from the dock of Salacia pulling out with Reel It In Panaroy not far ahead. I hope all men pull in 50" Rocks today! We'll see what the day brings. More later.

Here we go again!

Spring time is upon us and it was time to get Reel It In Panaroy ready for her first splash into the Chesapeake. Below, Paul makes some last minute adjustments to ensure the plugs are tightened up and we don't sink!

Carl had come out and did the boat waxing for us as well as the bottom paint. We had him raise the line on each side of the boat which is awesome. This will keep the boat from getting a bad water line this season. Paul and I were pretty diligent to keep her clean last season but this will keep her cleaner!

She even got her motors painted.... oh how pretty!
Here comes Rick to take her away. I hate to watch this part but he's a trained professional so I don't worry as much anymore. At least it wasn't raining this time!

She goes up so high in the air... it's amazing that something can pick her up.

Back the train up and away we go!
Making her way past the boatel and around the bend.
After a quick stop where Rick double checks the plugs... in she goes... bloop!

Such the proud fisherman! Let the games begin.
