Memorial Weekend.... we give thanks

We give thanks this Memorial weekend to all those who gave their lives so we could enjoy our freedoms.
Paul and I left on Saturday morning to head to see his friend Paul and family down on the Miles River. Since it was a bit blustery, there were tons of sailboats out that we had to dodge. It was a perfect day for them!
When we arrived at Paul's place we couldn't get to his dock because the water was too low so we had to dock for the night at a neighbors place. Here is Panaroy and in the background the yellow house with the screened in portch is Paul's place.
After some catching up and snacks at the house, we left on PBs boat with a large crew to St. Michaels to the Crab Claw for some wonderful Maryland crab dinner. It couldn't have been more perfect. The evening was spectacular. Good food and good friends.
We were quite the crew!
On Sunday, we had a visitor to the marina for an afternoon of eating and beaching! Grace loved the sand and water.

Having an extra day off was great. Monday was quiet. Just Paul and I. We went out fishing for a bit in the morning and then gave the boat a good scrub. We put up BBRs crib to see how it would fit on the boat and we think it's going to work great.

Next weekend we plan on going to the horse farm with friends unless BBR decides to come soon.

Another weekend.

The weather guessers were wrong again and we were out doing some fishing on Saturday. While the weather held out on Saturday, Sunday was a washout bringing with it 3-4 foot waves. We caught two rocks on Saturday and had a great fish dinner with the Smith's. Here I am with BBR in tow. Being on the boat brings me solace....
